Radio.

I am an ex-patient of IMH Ward 34A.
One thing I want to point out in this hospital Ward 34A is: Radio! There is no radio for us to listen to in the days in IMH! My nurse manager Sister Ho Soo Kim, from the day the radio is stopped given to us, presupposedly they say it's spoilt, giving an excuse, the radio has been given a "unusable", "it needs repairing", and "maybe we're going to repair it" status. Until now, people can sit airplanes to fly to Isreal and we are still not able to use the radio! Is the nurse management inefficient? So incompetent that they can leave the radio untouched and unrepaired for 3 whole months? From what I remember, since June, we are denied of listening to the radio.
We wake up, 7 in the morning, bathe, eat out medicine then are left at the mercy of doing absolutely nothing in the ward till lunch time. And the same cycle repeats itself till tea and dinner and for everyday. If we don't have a radio to listen to our favourite songs and destress by letting the songs take us to places we've never known, we can be killed! Literally! Our brain cells will die, our minds will be wasted, TIME will be gone, practically everything goes wrong for me! I have been trying to survive without radio for the past three months and it has been devastating. If not for Nurse Manager Sister Krishnan Devayani, I would be dead by now. She, by her own kind accord, lent me her very own small portable radio! And together mornings can not be so bored after all!
If problems occur while we are given the radio, you have no choice but to work around it. Find ways to solve it before taking the radio away. We can't afford to not listen fo radio at all for our whole day!
All in all, a complete dismay and disappointment in the management of our resources. Especially the feelings and minds of ourselves are not really taken into consideration. Pity us? Sure do.
