If I'd write a feedback/complain about IMH/the hospital in the Straits Times forum, I would need the CEO to reply too. :)

If I'd write a feedback/complain about IMH/the hospital in the Straits Times forum, I would need the hospital to reply too. :) Just like Friday, 13 July 2012's forum about visitor policy in hospitals. With Ms Caroline Tan writing about her issue and next to it it says "Hospital replied" by Tan Jack Thian, COO, Chief Operating Officer of KK Hospital.
This shows that the hospital is serious and sincere in addressing the issues that patients or the ones concerned is facing.
In KK's reply, they have adjusted their visiting hours to specially take into account the unique needs of our patients. And that is 9am to 9pm! IMH official visiting hours are 12pm - 2pm and 5pm - 7pm. IMH do not take into account the purpose of accomodating the unique needs of their patients! We should have visitors from the time we wake up to the time we sleep! Reason being visitors could bring patient's own breakfast, accompany them till they sleep. I am just a 21 year old and Mr Tan Jack Thian says it aptly "Especially our younger patients, often need the company and proximity of their parents or next-of-kin. This gives them a sense of security and comfort." In KK, one parent or adult family member could be allowed to be with the patient during the night! IMH don't even allow visitors even to STEP into the lesser seen dormitory! If the hospital is afraid of potential patient ambush, then take precautionary measures to ensure visitors can smoothly come in and visit and smoothly go out without sacrificing the accompaniment of loved ones with their beloved!
With that, other hospitals could allow visitors to even use the ward's toilet, that being said, they could understand and see for themselves the condition of the toilets, where IMH cordons these areas away from the public and they could not see the dirtiness and low-class toilets that are available, especially in the C-Class wards.

We appeal to IMH to improve it's visiting hours and services to provide us with a better experience for the stay of our lives.

It is said that IMH's core value is - service to the public, professionalism, collegiate practice etc.
