I’ve got a
problem. I notice all the letter written to Ask The Experts are all physically
related. Why are there no mental health issues?
I
went to IMH for the first time in 2009 and I was wrongly diagnosed as
schizophrenia by a general IMH Emergency doctor. An Early Psychosis
Intervention Program doctor then took over and removed that diagnosis and gave
me no diagnosis.
I
would like to ask: How are the doctors in mental health hospitals certified? If
one doctor wrongly diagnosed you, won’t the whole IMH have wrongly diagnosed
‘schizophrenics’ if no one intervened? What exactly constitute the difference
between “sane” and “insane” people then?
I
was later developed Bipolar mania in 2010 and was diagnosed as that. I hate to
take oral medication ie lithium and risperidone because of their bitterness and
vomiting side effects, and hopefully can get away from injections of 100mg
Paliperidone or 25mg of Pipotil too. I prefer injections, especially if they
give little pain.
Could
mental hospital give me a placebo injection instead? Although I have an illness
called Bipolar Mania, I still like and enjoy being high and elated and bold
enough to do anything. What kind of injection can help you only when you are
TOO high but let’s you have a certain degree of freedom in elatedness?
Also,
after I got injected with 100mg of Paliperidone, why is it my arm feels a sharp
pain like a needle poking it when I press it and it aches and sores whenever I
lift up my hand? I notice eating artane/Benhexol helps it alot. But how to
totally cure it? It didn’t ache at all with 25 mg of Pipotil, previously.
Also,
my breast started to have milk coming out from the nipples! It shocked me! I am
a virgin and lactating!
